Always Look on the Bright Side of Life
Because, really, why not?

It was raining today, but it wasn't winter rain anymore. It smelled different.

I suppose Spring has Sprung; although here in San Francisco it feels like the seasonal variation is limited to "early spring/late spring", so it's not as impressive as it was in Utah.

Last week we had "first wind". In Japan when Spring springs, there's a day they call first wind, and spring un-officially starts (my Japanese teacher told me this because we had class on first wind day). Seattle has very mild season changes. I kind of miss the marked changes of Utah, but only for fall and spring, really. I don't miss the desperate winters or the hot dry summers.

That's interesting about the "first wind". I imagine Seattle and SF are pretty much the same, weatherwise.

I do miss the summer evenings, and the early summer mornings, and winter nights (when I can be inside to admire them). But it's nice to never be really cold or really hot.
